After 9 years, Former ABS CBN star Richard Yap has already confirmed his stay in GMA network as a mainstay Kapuso talent.
Richard has just signed a management contract with GMA Artist Center earlier today, December 16, at the 17th floor of GMA Network.
Network executives were present during the event such as GMA Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable, GMAAC Assistant Vice President and Head for Talent Imaging and Marketing Unit Simoun Ferrer, GMAAC Senior Talent Manager Joy Marcelo and co-manager Kate Valenzuela.
On his interview, Richard said that he is grateful to be welcomes with such warmth and enthusiasm, especially when he is not planning to transfer from ABS CBN originally.
“I’m actually quite overwhelmed as I never thought this would come about. Now that it’s finally here, I am just so happy and so thankful to become a part of the Kapuso family.” he said.
From then on, he will start appearing on Eugene Domingo’s comedy anthology, Dear Uge, and Sunay late night comedy show The Boobay and Tekla Show.
GMA also revealed that he will be a part of an upcoming prime time series to be aired in 2021.
When asked what could the audience expect from him, Richard answered promptly, “Expect the unexpected? I guess you can expect me to try and experiment into other genres other than the ones that I’ve done before,”
He also shares some Kapuso artists that he wants to work with in the near future.
According to Richard, Marian Rivera, Heart Evangelista, Solenn Heusaff, Andrea Torres, and his friends Jean Garcia and Michael V are some people that he is looking forward to have a project with.
